Boomerang App Available
The Boomerang App is now available for Apple iPhones and Droid operating systems. The App is for use by employees and displays the next 30 days of requested and confirmed shifts. Download the app and sign in to see your schedule. The app will be enhanced over the next several months to include new features. Search for: ICS Boomerang App

Drag and Drop Feature
We have added a new Drag and Drop Edit Feature for EDITING
existing in place resources from existing shifts to new shifts.
Place your mouse pointer on the NAME of the person, click and DRAG to the new shift, placing the name IN THE GREEN BAR of the shift...the resource name drops into position in the new shift. Some users may have issues with older versions of IE ( internet Explorer) so try Safari or Firefox, until we investigate the IE issues. Call the help desk if you need assistance.

Text Messaging for Cancelled Shifts
Boomerang provides TEXT messaging for cancelled shifts. You can use this new feature to mange "flex up" shifts, "on call" shifts and other shift cancellations to manage your schedule to your census better.
First: Resources: edit your profile to include at least one text message capable phone, choose your wireless provider and update your account.
Second: Staffers: post and manage your contingency shifts: in this case primarily flex up or on call shifts for additional resource planning that may need to be quickly cancelled due to census drop
Staffers: when you decide to cancel this shift, click (x) to cancel and you will be shown a list of staff that are confirmed into that shift and their text message number ( if the staff member has entered the data): you can cancel all or some of the resources: they will receive a text message on their cell phone. Easy and efficient

Holiday Highlighter Feature
Holiday Highlighter Feature
There is a new Holiday Highlighter feature in Boomerang, designed to remind staff of a pending facility Holiday. The feature places a name tag on the day and a burgundy highlighted surround on the calendar.
Since holidays are facility specific, they must be activated by the admin in order to be highlighted on Boomerang.
Administrators: this function is found in: Manage Facility Information> Holidays
Once you designate a holiday, in the Holiday Table, the highlighter turns on.
